THE JOURNEY OF PRODUCT FROM MANUFACTURER TO CONSUMERS! by JANANI (RYLA 41.0)

Idea generation is the initial stage in the development of a product. We can develop the product based on the customers' needs. Using questionnaires, we can conclude what is to be marketed, what product we should produce, and so on.

With this idea generation, we will move into Research & Development where we will look into what specialization should add to market our product, how to satisfy the demand, and the benefits of using our product/services.

Moving on to the next step, Designing, this designing part includes how the product will be, for example, let’s consider designing a mobile, in the parts such as chips, camera, glass, and other things may be outsourced but designing them in what manner we need that mobile to be, this part is called designing. After designing the manufacturing plan will be executed, how and where to make.

Thinking of introducing the new outlet will depend on the factors of raw material, we have to plan a company nearer to source so that the logistics cost will be low, the second factor is the labor resource, without labor, we can't introduce our work. These are the initial stages of manufacturing a product.

After the manufacturing process starts, let us consider the mobile phone. All the parts of the mobile are not produced by a single owner, parts such as the camera, chip, motherboard, software, and many other parts will be outsourced and reach our factory.

We need to assemble everything to convert them into the finished goods. After this process, we have to introduce our product to the market, through advertisements, billboards, radio, social media, and all available platforms.

These should be catchy and be more memorable, the advertisement needs to be taken in what manner the product should be consumed or used properly. So that people can relate to their lifestyle and can be attracted enough to grasp the product.

The manufacturer might note the difference in the sale before advertising and after advertising so that they can improve their own quality.

Before the product arrives in the market, the major and most important process is supply-chain or logistics.

This is the service in which the goods will be taken from one place to another so it can make your product reach the nook and corner of the market. The market consists of many types of shops such as Kirana stores in which there is a shopkeeper to provide you with the things you wish to buy these types of shops are called Grand Trade (GT) in marketing. The supermarkets, hypermarkets and everything in which customers can get the product is Modern Trade (MT). Pricing is ambiance and everything changes in these markets.

Generally, in GT the company or brand will pay us the amount for keeping their product in the respective rows and columns.

Example: The things kids love will be kept under the knee because children can easily take the product, whereas the household things will be kept on the shoulder-level shelf so all women can take, things for senior citizens are not kept below the knee, and above the head.

So, this type of place will happen in the GT market. Being completing all these steps, the product will reach out to the end users who will consume it.
